Privacy Policy

Markraft is made by Techflow Studio Limited, called the developer on this page. Markraft does not collect personal data. The app has no account, no analytics and no telemetry. This page lists every connection the app and this website make, so you can check that for yourself.

Your notes

Notes are plain .md files in a folder you choose on your Mac. Markraft never uploads them. If you keep that folder in iCloud Drive or another sync service, that service handles the files under its own privacy policy.

Connections the app makes

• Images linked from the web. When a note links to an image on the web, Markraft downloads the image from the address in the link. The server at that address sees your IP address, as it would in a browser. You can turn this off in Settings.
• Update checks. The direct-download version contacts updates.markraft.app to see whether a newer version exists, and downloads the update when you install it. The Mac App Store version does not do this, because the App Store delivers its updates.
• Links you open. A link you click opens in your browser. Markraft does not load the page itself.

None of these connections carries the contents of your notes.

Crash reports

If Markraft quits unexpectedly, it saves a report on your Mac in ~/Library/Logs/Markraft. The report stays there. It reaches the developer only if you attach it to an issue yourself.

Mac App Store purchases

Apple processes purchases of the Mac App Store version. The developer receives sales totals from Apple and does not receive your name, email address or payment details.

This website

This website counts page views and clicks on Mac App Store and direct-download links with a self-hosted copy of Plausible Analytics. Click events include the download channel and the link’s position on the page. These events do not confirm a purchase or completed download. Plausible sets no cookies and stores no personal data. Cloudflare serves this website and processes your IP address to deliver the pages.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date. The history of this page is public.
